My mother pulls worms by hand. not going to kill her unlike weed poison which can cause various health problems if inhaled. I think the ban should be repealed and these silly lawmakers should get their head reexamined.

It's hard work, everybody knows that. That's why it's such a highly motivating job. It motivates people to get an education, start a business, and get out of that field!

My first job was worming golf course greens with a knife
one of the most enjoyable jobs I've ever had. Because the pay was crap (I was 12, so that didn't matter)I wouldn't recommend it for a living, but I didn' t view it as backbreaking or cruel.

I guess our ancestors got their food the easy way eh? Too back breaking? What are they even talking about. My Dad is a farmer and we used to crawl on our hands and knees to worm a field. the worse for it? No!!!!

This is just another example of governmental controls placed in a state that has more crazy laws than all the states in the union. I can see it now..."Oh OSHA....pay me money for the rest of my life so I don't have to work. Farmer Jones made me worm that garden for
hrs without that $300.00 OSHA approved garden hoe!"

Give me a break!

This is a joke. Are they going to outlaw berry-picking next? This is a perfect example of liberal lunacy increasing the cost of living for everyone because of their stupidity.

"The same kind of worms we have here are grown in other nations, other states. The worms aren't unique to California," said BAITMAN of the Western Growers Association, which represents Global Worm Farms , "we're going to be the only place on the face of the Earth that has a regulation or law that outlaws hand worming.

Say hello to more imported Worms say good-bye to more American jobs.

It will cost more to buy the worm pulling tools . It wil l take longer to get
l the same number of worms in. This adds up to higher prices for The Baitman . And American Fishermen will respond by buyng more
imported products.

wait, what am I thinking! The American growers will just cut their payroll to pay for the tools, and they'll force the remaining workers to WORK THAT MUCH HARDER to compensate for the fewer workers AND the loss in productivity. WORK HARDER, OR GET FIRED!

Been there, done that. This is America! What a Country!!!!!
