Baitman Enterprises has agreed to enter the Baitman "36" Worm into competition at next summer's International Worm Race held annually in Clear Lake, California.

Contestants from around the world enter their finest, best trained, and well disciplined Worms for valuable prizes and recognition.

Next year's event will again be covered by ESPN, Animal Planet, and Real People. The Baitman will Sponsor the Event and Host the Winning Wiggler.

This competition began in 1966 and many Fishermen are not aware that their Crawlers that they purchased from the Baitman could have been Prize Worms in the past.

The "race" track is a 4-foot-square board with a 2-foot target painted on it. Two to five worms — either night crawlers or reds — are placed on the bull's-eye, and the first to inch its way across the edge of the outer circle wins. The day's grand champion wins a $500 cash prize.

The ultimate worm-on-worm challenge takes place at Redbud Park in Clearlake (north of Napa Valley) immediately following the annual Lions Club Fourth of July Parade. Don't have your own red worm or night crawler to enter? No problem! You can rent fully trained worms from Baitman Enterprises just prior to race time.

This event draws 1000's of entrants each year. There is no doubt that the BAITMAN "36" WORM will Dominate the Playing Field. Past winners who inched their way past the finish line included such greats as Lightning, Harry, Fred, Heliatrophy, Master Gee, Slimey and who can forget Sam the five inch Lake County garden worm or Michaelangelo Maserati, descended from a long line of Italian Speedsters.
